Ridiculous excuses posted at 15:58
I find it ridiculous how people can find so many excuses to eat what is not on the menu. It's not that we don't want to do it for you, it's just that some items are already pre-made. Can you imagine using 1 hour to cook a meal for you, if you want everything from scratch?! I get that in some countries the restaurants are more flexible and the cooks are too, but Singapore isn't like that. Let's face it, most outside food consist of MSG. Today, this couple stroll into the restaurant. I didn't attend to them, but after awhile I saw their menus closed, they seem like they were ready to order. So okay I thought maybe my colleague deal with them already, so I went over and ask her about it. She mentioned that she's not very sure, so I suggested I ask instead.
So I foolishly went over to ask if they were ready to order. They responded by saying that there's too much MSG in the restaurant, they can't eat here. So I'm like okay...? I took away the menus, said my sorry, and they were still there. I told my colleague about them, you know what she replied? "I know, I deal with them already. They say they are allergic to MSG. Just let them be, don't show black face". I'm just like if you know, why didn't you tell me? Awkward. Maybe she heard wrongly anyway. But still, people that are allergic to MSG? Is that even possible? Was what I was thinking when I heard that. I came home and research a bit about it. There are some articles talking about allergy symptoms regarding MSG, some articles saying there's no such thing, they are just allergic to the food that the MSG is on. I have no idea. Well, I shall give them the benefit of the doubt. But then again, it's a couple. Are they really allergic or hmm. Oh anyway! There's customers coming to the THAI restaurant asking if the TOM YUM can be non spicy. I think I can officially give up on life. Articles mentioning allergy to MSG is fake: Link 1 , Link 2 Forum on MSG allergy: Link There's also a fish bowl in the restaurant. Apparently two of the guppies are pregnant. So I spent the whole afternoon researching on when guppies will give birth. At the end of her belly, there's gonna be one black dot/spot there, indicating the eyes of the babies. And the belly will become a bit squareish. But I think she should be in a tank though since she's gonna give birth to a lot of them. Hmm. Oh well. Not my issue. I really don't like the managers in this company. Either they are incompetent or they have fuck up rules. Was really bored yesterday night, so I caught the movie "Perfect Blue". I thought inception was confusing enough, this is more. Let me just copy and paste the synopsis for you all. "A retired pop-singer-turned-actress' sense of reality is shaken when she is stalked by an obsessed fan and seemingly a ghost of her past." At the beginning, it seems like sunshine and rainbows but it slowly goes downhill. Most of the them I don't know when is reality, drama or hallucination. It's a movie whereby you don't know what had happen exactly. It seems like the director wants you to make your own story, your own ending. I can't say I understand exactly what happen, it's probably a movie you have to watch twice or even thrice to get it. I also love how they use the mirror to display the difference between reality and dream. It's a interesting and good movie. Although some scenes are hard to watch, psychologically, probably that's why it's a rated film. That particular scene was quite disturbing, but I guess it was necessary. All I can say is, things are not what it seems to be. By the way, you can watch it here. |
