It's not your fault, and I'm sorry posted at 02:11

Hi.

Even though this weekend wasn't as eventful as I want it to be, I'm fortunate enough to have someone to be there with me, and I'm thankful for that. Finally got to contact my boyfriend after his field camp, got to rest and go out. It was nothing special, nevertheless, I felt glad.

We watched a movie called "Skin Trade" on Friday, a movie that depicted human trafficking, something I was quite uncomfortable about. I'm not being rude or whatsoever, I just can't bare to see it happen? It's rated 18 anyway, and I can see why. We are lucky in a sense that it's difficult for it to happen in Singapore. However, it does not mean it's not happening in other countries. Especially in third world countries. I sat there, helpless, knowing that it's almost impossible to stop the action of it. With corruption, greed, hunger, this will happen.

The guy in the movie mentioned... I will only stop when there's no buyers. That's when greed comes in, dirty money is still money. I know blogging about this does nothing to help them, but I just can't help but feel remorseful. I'm here complaining about things that are so redundant, so minor, and they are out there fighting for the lives everyday. What more do I want? Ya I admit, I do complain about Singapore being boring and etc but we are incredibly blessed.

This particular girl character, she was sold when she's 12 years old. And the mom was upset, not because she sold her own daughter, but because she received 700 dollars instead of 1000 dollars for selling her away.

All I can really say about this movie is, it hits home.
