Hey guys, I'm sorry for not blogging these few days about the trip to Bangkok but I couldn't upload my photos into blogger and I'm kind of lazy to take more time to figure it out since I'm out most of the day. By the time I come back to the hotel, I'm pretty much exhausted already. I will post bit by bit, hopefully I will finish by tomorrow.

Day 1: 19th April 2015

Mandatory ticket shot, off to Thailand via Thai Airways, featuring my Disney cover.

Thanks for sending me off, despite the sprained ankle, love you lots. See you on Saturday!

Look at all the little clouds. Makes me feel like working as an air stewardess.

Arrived at the airport and bought a SIM card for 299 baht, which is around $12, unlimited internet and $100 text and call credit. No idea if it was expensive, but I thought it was quite worth it. No need to ask for wifi everywhere I go. It's at either gate 4 or 7, I can't really remember. They kind of advertise it almost everywhere. Look out for it when you check in with the immigration. After putting down our stuff at the hotel, we went over to Jatujak Market. We stayed at Arnoma Grand Bangkok Hotel, the room wasn't fantastic but the toilet was. I didn't take photo of it, but it looks amazing. And the make up table, my mom went crazy over it.

Even though there was nothing special about the room, it's near to a lot of locations. Central world, Prantum Market, Platinum Fashion Mall, Big C, there was nothing to complain about. Since we literally use the hotel just for sleeping purposes, and we don't really use the facilities, this hotel offers more than enough.

Yup so this was the entrance. The train was quite expensive for us, so we took a cab almost every time.

Hi.

Had coconut ice cream with sticky rice, it was not that amazing, but it's good to quench thirst, moreover they provide a bit of coconut water for us as well. Not in this shot of course. Love love sticky rice. Shopped a lot, got massive amount of clothes before we head to eat our dinner.

Forgot what's the name of the place but the papaya salad is crazy spicy but super good. Love the crunch, the spices, everything. And the fried pork over at the left, with sweet and sour sauce. Yums. The tom yums, not so good.

On the way to finding a cab, I found pokemon center, I'm an official Pokemon trainer now. Bow down to me.

PINKS EGGS?!

HAD PORK BURGER AT MCTHAI. Yay. And Taro Pie, my life is complete. Okay not quite.

End of Day 1, and I'm lazy to continue already.

Day 2: 20th April 2015

Had bagels at this place called Au Bon Pain, it was quite good, except that the bagels was a tad too hard. The drinks here are super sweet as well. As my dad would say, I would get diabetes from drinking this. It's really sweet, I thought I was drinking ice sugar water. It is located at Big C, but I see this bakery at a lot of places. Head over to the four-faced Buddha as known as Phra Phrom for good fortune and protection.

Basically every face that you pray to, holds different meanings. Front view: Business and Wealth, Left hand side: Wisdom, Back view: Health, Right hand side: Relationship and interpersonal. After which, we went over to Victory Monument to have some boat noodles. It's surprisingly how there's bridges everywhere. Seems like you can either choose to walk from mrt and mrt by the bridge or take a train to the next stop.

While walking on the bridge.

The boat noodle is at the far end of this stinky river. It's called "The Best of the Boat Noodles". How humble, haha. But I got to say, it's pretty good. Although I can't say much, since it's the first time I had this.

Like how most of the coke/pepsi bottles here are glass. So vintage looking. The "dumplings" were meh. There's no meat, feels like it's just chips. But what I have noticed about thai drinks is that they have more ice than the drink itself and they are extremely sweet.

The person stacked it up for us so that we could take a photo. I love the noodle one, but there is only one kind of broth. Maybe we came too early that's why. But it's 12 baht per bowl and we got the thickened pork broth one. It's spicy but yummy. FINISHED IT ALL. Not a lot since we had bagels, but I would want to have more.

Had three of this coconut looking thing. It's good. I think it's called "Khanom Tuay" in Thai.

This is the place!!!

Went shopping at MBK before coming to Siam Paragon for After You. The dessert is amazing. I thought it was overrated, but I HAVE FINALLY TRIED IT. IT IS WONDERFUL. But quite expensive.

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And it so happens that it's fragrant. Love it so much, had the big size one.

Chedder Cheese one I think, I still prefer the first one. The Shibuya Honey Toast.

Last but not least the piping hot Banana crumble. I love that you can still eat the banana pieces and it is not mushy. Fresh from the oven, I think.

Photo with Tom Cruise. HA. HA.

Example on how the bridge looks like. It's longer than this!!!

Had the Korean J Ice Cream, taste the same. Had one at Singapore, it is similar. Remember this bi?!

SUPER YUMS PIZZA. I thought it was like mediocre from the looks but nope. One of the best I have eaten. It's near Platinum Fashion Mall. It's at the night market. Cannot remember the pizza shop, but we had tom yum seafood and spinach. I thought the tom yum taste was on point.

Because we took so long, by the time we finished, all the restaurants were closed. So we settled for dinner at Mango 99, the restaurant at the hotel. The food was not bad, didn't think it would taste that good. But since it's a hotel restaurant, the pricing, erm... You know. Minced pork are my favourite, especially the basil one.

Okay I just ended Day 2, gonna sleep! Bye!

Day 3: 21st April 2015

Went over to Platinum Mall to continue our shopping. Had lunch at the food court. We tried the other versions of boat noodle, thickened broth with beef and sweet and sour pork. Taste wise, not bad. The standard wasn't what I expected, was thinking that it would taste normal. Shoppes until around 4(?) then went back to the hotel to drop off our stuff and rest for a while before going Chocolate Ville.

Miss the one at Jatujak since they provide toppings. MISS THE STICKY RICE. However this was refreshing as well. This is with condensed milk though oh my god.

By the time we were trying to flag a cab, it was around 5.30. And there comes the famous Bangkok Jam. What the locals said were that around 4 - 7pm, there would be jams everywhere since a lot of them are ending work. The cab driver charge us 500 baht ($20) to go there since it was out of town and there's a jam. So we just went along anyway.

Reached there around 6.30pm. It was beautiful. It reminds me a lot of Disney. Maybe because it looks like it's taken out from a fantasy land. Sparkly lights, lighthouse, bridge, it really looks like it's from a kid's storybook. Of course it would look better if you come at night. The food there was delicious, especially the German pork (I think it was the pork knuckle, can't remember) and the ribs. Both under the recommended section. But it's expensive. The bill come up around 1800 baht ($74). So I guess be prepared to spend more if you're coming here.

Went up to the lighthouse and it was crazy windy. I have tons of shots of me trying to fight the wind. My hair was all over the place. I'm scared I would drop my phone. I think if I wasn't trying to capture the view, I would be less afraid. I love the view though, I y was amazing. Spammed the photos. As I said to my mum. If we spend quite a bit to come here, might as well take more photos. There was a person that bought her selfie stick up wtf, I was worried for the phone?!?! We paid another 500 baht ($20) to go back to the hotel as well, despite having no jam along the way. Rest immediately once we reached since we had to wake up at 6.30am the next day.

End of day 3!

Day 4: 22nd April 2015

If you're wondering why we had to wake up so early... It was to go to the Grand Palace. Booked a tour from our hotel, around 1100 baht ($45), includes the entrance fee of 500 baht ($20), transport to and fro, English guide fee. Had the hotel buffet breakfast before going. The Palace was quite far out and it was insanely hot. Not as hot as Orlando, but still hot.

Had a tour in the palace, it was packed like sardines. The Palace is magnificent. I'll let the photos talk... What I can say is, this temple is full of culture and mystery (cause I can't read thai).

As the guide mention, each gate is guard by statues to protect it from the bad. This is just one of them. There are lots more. But I don't think I should spam this blog with it. HAHA.

Read more here.

Because we were hot and sweaty by the end of the tour, we head back to the hotel to freshen up before going to Chinatown in Bangkok. My parents were looking for this seafood place they had together I think 15 years ago? I can't remember. We had a massage before eating though, it felt weird??? Since I never had one before, felt like I was troubling them. I thought the woman was quite soft when doing the foot massage, but dare not ask her to do it harder. But when she was doing it on my arms HOLY HELL. I think my mind was screaming help. It was with so much strength, I had to bit down my lips or hold something before I go wiggly on the chair. It was 200 baht ($8), super cheap right, for 1 hour of foot + arms, more on the foot though, around 80/20.

Dinner was not what I expected it to be. I thought the food would taste mediocre, maybe the standard dropped or the restaurant moved away. I mean it was 15 years ago, a lot can change. This place proved me wrong. Even though the decorations were old school, the quality of the food is high. By the way, the place is called "Nam Sing". The red tom yum was thick and creamy, the cod fish was flavorful and the dessert was unique. Had this coconut bird nest, just that I can't really finish a bowl of it by myself, I got a little sick of it by the end. Pineapple fried had just the right amount of seasoning and the pineapple was tasty! Overall the food is good, I would come back if I have more money. The coconut bird nest itself cost 1000 baht ($40).

The ice cream roll from Ice Manias.

Moved along to Asiatique The Riverfront night market. Did some shopping, took some photos. It was nothing much. Didn't eat over there except the ice cream.

Decided we had time so we hurried over to Terminal 21 for dessert. Took a Tuktuk cause I requested for one HAHA. Haven't sat on one since I reached here, I just want to take at least once. I got my wish.

Finally had both mango and durian sticky rice! If you're wondering why there's ice on the durian one, my mother thought it would taste nicer cold. So she asked the lady if there was a cold one, the lady replied by scooping ice and attempting to place it on the bowl. So my mum let her. Thus the ice. But it was GOOD. Some of the photos I took in there...

Aka my new boyfriend.

Day 4, done! It was a long day...

Day 5: 23rd April 2015

We don't have any plans today so I dragged my mother to bring me to the swimming pool for a dip. It was empty, the shallow end was 1.5m for adults. I had to tiptoe to breathe...

Breakfast at MBK food center. Love the basil minced man!

Tom Yum, Mango sticky rice, Basil rice, ALL MY FAVOURITES. Today was average. We basically just shopped the whole day. Oh ya, before having lunch at the food court, we had a massage for one hour. Foot massage + neck massage. IT HURTS...But the good kind...

End of day 5: average.

Day 6: 24th April 2015

On our way home!!!

Forced my mum to buy me this hehe.

Tipsy.
