Jump Scares posted at 02:08
Note: Not for the faint hearted.
What is it about horror movies that keeps us intrigue?
Make us curious, make us watch on.
Is it the jump scare, it is the mystery?
Or maybe how the way it's film, how it's made?
I personally love horror movies. Though it's really ironic of me to say that. Because I hate that I love horror movies. Most of the time, I scream. Loudly. I'm afraid of the darkness, I'm afraid of seeing how the ghosts look like. I cover my eyes, okay not really. Look below.
Notice the boy? That's how I cover my eyes, technically my face. I might as well not cover. But I do anyways. I guess this is my way of "protecting" myself from the movie. I get scared easily, so I have absolutely no idea why I great watching horror movies. Maybe I adore the adrenaline rush from watching them. The heart attack every time something strange pops up on the screen, or maybe when someone suddenly scream. It excites me, I love the way it scares me. I love shouting at how stupid the actors in the movie are. ![]() Mostly I love the story line. It's difficult to find a good horror movie nowadays, or even thriller movies. I guess everyone has their own favourite horror movie. But mine for now, is... [REC]. I have actually watched it quite a while back, but I still love it. I love that it's filmed from the perspective of video camera, I love that it's not a ghost film, I love cliffhangers (though I hate them, told you I'm weird), I love GORE. Blood everywhere, flesh everywhere. I'm a little nuts, but I love zombie shows mostly because I love the blood oozing out. I sound a little creepy now, but don't worry, I'm scared of blood in real life. But one of the reason why I love [REC] is because of the lack of jump scares. I HATE JUMP SCARES. It's useless and I hate it. Especially when it causes me to scream suddenly. The only down part about this movie is probably the demonic references. I don't get why film makers have to make TONS of horror movie about christ, about demons, it's irritating. Overall, it's one of the best horror movie I have watched. ![]() Another one would be Dark Water. That movie has haunt me ever since I watched it when I was young. But I can't stop watching it over and over again. It's amazing how good this movie is. Though I hate the ending of this movie. (Boy, I contradict myself way too much) I love the actors, I love the mystery. I love most every aspect of it. It drew me in from the second it started playing. And the flat is so creepily quiet, it's almost as if it's deserted. ![]() One of the worst has got to be Paranormal Activity 4. Alien references, demon references, I have no idea. It's just a horrible idea for a movie. And the fact that I heard Paranormal Activity was good, I went in and watch this bullshit, it disappointed me quite a lot. Considering I was looking forward to it, but I felt like I wasted money on it. I guess it's because the more you produce, the shitter the quality is. End of rant. |
