I chose...
Peanut Butter over Nutella.
Yogurt & Oats over Roti Prata.
Soya milk over Full cream milk
Whole wheat over White bread.
Water over Coke.
Small things do make a difference. It's time to incorporate healthier things in my diet. I know I'm not doing much, but I do know I'm doing something to make a change. Hoping to get more food at my home so I have healthy things to snack on, 5 small meals per day. It's going to be tough, considering I have internship. I'm going to do my best and reach my goal. It's all about...
Endurance.
Endure the temptations of eating fatty food, fast food, even though they taste good, it's bad for you. Even when I want to, only in small portions and not for indulgence. At least not now. There's always a time for it, it's just not the right time. The thing is, once you start loving healthier food, those greasy fatty food will start to taste horrible. We all love McDonald's, well actually maybe only half or most of us love it, have you ever wonder? What will happen if you never had it? What would the change be?
Patience.
Your effort takes time. We all wish we can get thin straight away after a day of gym, a sit up, a good diet. It just doesn't happen like that. It takes patience. Do whatever you deem works for you and continue doing it. You might not see the effort in a short term, but I promise you, it will in the future. Improve, Improvise. It's not that difficult if you start to make it a habit. Long after, you wouldn't notice how many days you took to get you to this stage. All you see is how sharp your face is, how toned your stomach has become, how much muscles you have built up, how you have become stronger.
Strength.
It's always mind over body. If you think you can do it, you can. If you lose faith in yourself from the start, how do you expect yourself to get stronger. It's one more set, one more push, one last bet. You're much stronger than you think you are, your body isn't the one controlling you. Your mind is. Your skin, your body is just an outer layer, your brain, your thoughts, are the ones causing your body to react the way it is. If your body have given up, your mind haven't. Challenge the limits. That's what I learn in my Primary School.
You will only get...
Stronger.
Better.
Wiser.
Don't ever give up on yourself. Have in yourself, cause you're so much more.
You know what they say,
Abs are made in the gym and shown in the kitchen.
