Practical was fun, unlike the other practicals I had so far in Basic Cookery, Stock and Sauces, Asian & International Cuisines. Dr Soh was nice and kind to us, let us talk, (not really discuss about how things are supposed to turn out but just let us have casual talks). She let us see the marking scheme, and she didn't scold us or whatever when we started to talk. Which was what I didn't expect from a practical. It was relaxing and not a stressful practical overall. Although my bread took a long time to proof (around 1 hour), it was annoying to keep checking if it was alright to bake it, but nooo. Glad that my scoring turned out well even though I hate how I shaped or braid the bread. I forgot to make 2 of the 1 knot, my proofing time was long, mixing was long and etc. But it was a good practical. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Now for practicing my pastry before it begins. Seems harsh.
Got my pay! Wanted to post a picture of it, but uhm it seems like boasting... Though I'm so happy I got it. And I received my first $100 dollar. (Not saying I don't have money worth of a 100, I just never did receive a $100 note before).
Tuesday
(Artichoke Napkin Folding)
Learnt how to fold napkins on Tuesday Class. Fun and frustrating at the same time. Considering the napkin keep failing on me. (It's not starchy, which makes it harder to fold). Did a few utility folds & decorative folds. Only took a photo cause the others that I fold weren't that pretty. And speaking of that, this one doesn't look good as well. But who cares? I had fun! And about the bad side, it's tested for practical. Sigh. Time to spam youtube videos on this instead of cooking shows. We have to wear our "work attire" every time we have tutorial with the lecturer, so irritated ugh.

Wednesday Checked my attendance in the library and was pleasantly surprised. Had class for Business Finance and Effective F&B Service again. Learnt about cutlery and etc. Couldn't go for the NE outing trip to OCS due to something. Quite upset about that, my course mates got to shoot a gun :( Oh well, what's done is done. Made Chocolate Mousse for the first time, that are setting now. Overall even though I started out bad, it's still a good mid week.
